Monday night the Burleson City Council members unanimously approved a revision in the corporate membership rates for the Burleson Recreation Center (BRiCk), which will host a soft opening in May and a grand opening June 5.

Good Friday closings (pdf)
All City facilities – with the exception of Hidden Creek Golf Course, the police department and the fire stations - will be closed Friday, April 2, in observance of Good Friday. Trash and curbside recycling will be picked up on Good Friday.

Interurban Express Motor #330 comes home (pdf)
Interurban Express Motor #330 has returned to Old Town Burleson. On March 6, Basden Steel, with the assistance of City park maintenance workers, moved the 18,000-pound circa 1902 refurbished trolley car from the City’s old service center on Main to 124 W. Ellison, next to the Burleson Visitors Center and city hall.

Police say no evidence of attempted child abductions or kidnappings (pdf)
The Burleson Police Department, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where requested, has investigated the four incidents that were initially reported to police as attempted child abductions/attempted kidnappings on Jan. 9, Jan. 11 (two incidents) and Jan. 25.  These incidents have received substantial media attention and have, understandably, raised the concern of many within the Burleson community.
