Pet of the Week is Summer

August 24, 2010

Our picks of the week are:

Summer

Summer is a gorgeous pit bull terrier-Labrador Retriever mix that we call “Wiggle-Worm” due to the vigorous happy wagging of her whole body anytime someone approaches her.  Summer is roughly one year old and would do well in just about any home.  She is dog, kid, and adult friendly, though we don’t know how she would do with kittens. Summer is by far one of the sweetest dogs we have ever encountered and we would love for her to find her perfect forever home!

Pet of the Week- Cinderella and Max

and

Max and Cinderella

Cinderella and Max are two beautiful Chocolate Point Siamese cats who are spayed and neutered, micro chipped, and waiting for their forever home.  Their owner took a job overseas and could not bring them with him.  These little darlings love each other very much, and sleep wrapped around one another, however they would do best in a home with older children, as the younger, rambunctious ones frighten them a little. Do you have room in your home for these two beautiful kitties?

The animal shelter is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Shelter is closed to the public on Sunday and Monday and on all city holidays

All adoptive pet owners must sign a legal contract agreeing to have the adopted pet spayed or neutered, as required by state law. This surgery can be done by the veterinarian of your choice, and the expense is the owner's responsibility. Written verification of this surgical procedure must be returned to the animal shelter in order to avoid legal action.
