Public Works
Public Works is comprised of seven divisions: administration, engineering, equipment services, solid waste, street maintenance, water and wastewater, and utility customer service.
Engineering Services coordinates and monitors the development, design and construction of all subdivisions relative to engineering activities. Floodplain management and drainage activities are coordinated through this department, as well as traffic issues and the design and construction of the City's capital improvement projects.
Public Works provides centralized requests for services and information and timely public response. We provide preventive maintenance to the infrastructure by maintaining a safe, adequate and reliable supply of water and wastewater services, streets, drainage, and traffic control systems, solid waste collection and disposal, and maintenance of mechanized equipment used by all departments of the city.
