Animal Services Request FormSubmit an on-line request for animal services.

The Burleson Animal Shelter is located at 1695 John Jones Drive (FM 731, approx. 1.1 miles southeast of SH 174). This facility is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Shelter is closed to the public on Sunday and Monday and on all city holidays. The phone number to contact animal services is 817-447-5426. For after-hours animal emergencies, call the Burleson Police Department at 817-295-1118. If you have been bitten by an animal or have an injured animal, an animal control officer will be dispatched to assist you. For any other animal emergencies, the police will have animal services contact you so that you can further describe the nature of your request to the animal control officer directly.

Pet Adoptions

One of the most enjoyable functions of the animal services department is adopting animals to loving families. Go to Burleson's Petfinder.com webpage to view animals available for adoption. To inquire about animals available for adoption you may call 817-447-5426, or you can visit the Burleson Animal Shelter at 1695 John Jones Drive.

All adoptive pet owners must sign a legal contract agreeing to have the adopted pet spayed or neutered, as required by state law. This surgery can be done by the veterinarian of your choice, and the expense is the owner's responsibility. Written verification of this surgical procedure must be returned to the animal shelter in order to avoid legal action.
