WORK SESSION – 6:00 PM

Call to Order

1.

Demonstration of new IT software/ Discussion of IT Policies

2.

Discussion of facilities Senior Center Expansion and Banquet Room.

3.

Discussion of all items on tonight’s meeting.  No action will be taken and each item will be considered during the Regular Session.

Executive Session: Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Sec. 551.071, Sec. 551.072, 551.073, 551.074, 551.076, 551.087, and Section 418.183(f) of the Texas Government Code (Texas Disaster Act).  Refer to posted list attached hereto and incorporated here in.  Executive Session may be held, under these exceptions, at any time during the meeting that a need arises for the City  Council to seek advice from the City Attorney as to the posted subject matter of this City Council meeting.

Request for approval of the final plat of Lot 1, Block 1, 6.848 acres of Cana Baptist Church Addition, located east of East Renfro Street, south of Christopher Lane.  (Case 07-041)

Contracts and Agreements

 

D.

Award of a contract with Insituform Technologies, Inc. for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines in Old Town, the Tarrant Addition and the Gardens Addition and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.

 

E.

Consideration of an Engineering Services Contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for the design of 16-inch waterlines on FM 731 and Alsbury Blvd. and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.

Award the bid for the construction of the Hemphill Road Paving and Drainage Improvements (NE Alsbury Boulevard to McAlister Road) and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.

Public Hearing and Resolution R-1092-07 eliminating and changing the scope of certain drainage projects from the voter approved 2000-2005 Capital Improvements Program and the 2005-2009 Capital Improvements Program.

Resolution R-1093-07, revising and adopting the Guidelines and Criteria for Property Tax Abatement under the Economic Development Incentives Program.

 

D.
