Boards and Commissions Meetings

Section 551.002 of the Government Code provides that every regular, special or called meting of a governmental body shall be open to the public.

Section 551.031 provides for the following:

• notices shall be in writing and have clearly stated the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting;
• notice must be posted at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled time of the meeting;
• notice shall be posted on a bulletin board convenient to the public in the city hall (required on website if the governmental body maintains one).
