WHO WE ARE?
"SCORE" (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a volunteer group of counselors sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The SCORE-Business Development Group is a special group within the SCORE organization who have a particular interest in assisting established small businesses.
OUR PURPOSE
The SCORE-Business Development Group assist small business enterprises in joint plan for improvement and/or development to a new level of business success. It is especially intended to help businesses who are at a cross-roads and need professional assistance to achieve a new business plateau. This group will conduct a confidential, professional assessment of selected companies and provide counseling for growth and improvement.
OUR BACKGROUND
The SCORE-Business Development Group is made up of trained counselors who have a wide range of expertise and many years experience in marketing and sales, law, accounting, business management, personnel, quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, etc.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE
Established, for profit, growing business enterprises, residing in Tarrant County, Texas, who have at least three years of business history, have minimum annual revenues of $250,000, and employ at least five persons, are prime candidates for business assistance by the SCORE-Business Development Group.
HOW TO APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE
Business enterprises who qualify may apply by contacting SCORE, Chapter 120, in Fort Worth, Texas. The selected enterprise must be willing to respond to a detailed business criteria questionnaire and attend at least three (3) fee paid workshops. WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER WITH YOU
After a thorough review of the "Criteria" response, the SCORE-Business Development Group, a team of experts will be assigned to assist the selected enterprise through a specially prepared plan. The selected business enterprises will be required to assign a working senior member of its management staff to work exclusively with the SCORE team.

SCORE COUNSELING - ONE PERSON OR A TEAM
The counselor chosen to serve you has the experience that most closely parallels your needs. But no one is an expert in every type of business. So your SCORE counselor may call on other SCORE members for their special expertise.
Your counselor - or team - meets with you personally and as frequently as necessary. They analyze and define your problems. They help you find solutions. They keep checking with you to see how the solutions are functioning. The period of counseling may take as little as a week. Or a year. Whatever length of time needed.
All information learned about your business is CONFIDENTIAL. It is not revealed to anyone outside of SCORE.
