The Operations Division of the Burleson Police Department consists of the Patrol Section with a total of 34 authorized patrol positions. The Patrol Section is responsible for the protection and service of approximately 30,300 citizens and 23.3 square miles of suburban and rural area. The Operations Division conducts traffic accident investigation and reconstruction, directed patrol, warrant service, ride-alongs and vacation checks.   This Division also is responsible for the operation of the holding facility.

 

 

 

The Operations Division Commander also oversees a 15-officer Emergency Response Team consisting of a 10-member SWAT Team and a 5-member Crisis Negotiation Team.  Both of these teams are comprised of officers from the Operations and Administration Division.
