The Open Meetings Act was adopted to make sure governmental decision-making is accessible to the public. The Act requires a municipality to post a notice for all meetings of the City Council. These notices shall be in writing and have clearly stated the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting.

In compliance with this requirement the City of Burleson posts all notices 72 hours prior to the meeting:

• at City Hall, 141 West Renfro Street, at the entrance, on the bulletin board, which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year; and
• on the City website under Public Notices
