Spring Trash Bash Scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020 has been cancelled:

Burleson's Trash Bash / Great American Cleanup / DMWT Trash-Off
Come out and join the City of Burleson and Keep Burleson Beautiful with the Burleson Trash Bash on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Your commitment of two hours, 9 a.m.- 11 p.m., will make a difference. This is a semiannual campaign to beautify Burleson. During the event, volunteers remove litter and debris from retail corridors, waterways, drainage channels, streets, parks, and other public areas. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but youth participants are required to have adult supervision. After the cleanup, volunteers will convene at Warren Park, 301 S.W. Johnson Ave., for free pizza and some prize drawings. Raffle and pizza will wrap up at 12 p.m.. To receive a free t-shirt, volunteers are asked to register starting at least three weeks prior to the event.

Household Hazardous Waste, Electronic Recycling & Paper Shredding Event
The City is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding event on Saturday, May April 25, 2020, at the City’s service center, 725 SE John Jones. The event is 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and is only available to residents who live inside the Burleson city limits (proof of residency including a City water or solid waste bill is required). 


Household hazardous waste items are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All electronics and appliances will be taken for free. TVs will be accepted at this event. There is no fee for paper shredding, but the volume is limited to three boxes per vehicle.

Recycled Boat Regatta
Gather your recyclables and create a boat for the City's Recycled Boat Regatta on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Burleson Recreation Center, 550 NW Summercrest Blvd. The event is 9 a.m.- noon.

Participants must be 6 - 17 years of age and boats must be made from previously used, recycled material. Individuals or teams may participate. Any member of the team may pilot the boat. Teams may choose to have more than one pilot. All racers must be dressed in swimwear. Register before (817) 426-9842 or Email
