The Burleson Arts & Manga Festival is intended to be a safe, family-friendly event. Attendees must respect common sense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy and respect for personal space and private property.
Harassment in any form and offensive behavior will not be tolerated. The Burleson Public Library reserves the right to ask any attendee who violates the rules of decorum to leave the property as well as the right to notify the police if necessary.
Persons finding themselves in a situation where they feel their safety is at risk or who become aware of an attendee not in compliance with this policy should immediately notify a member of security or a staff member, so that the matter can be handled in a swift and expedient manner.
Costume Weapons Policy
Simulated or prop weaponry are allowed as a part of a costume, subject to inspection by security and compliance with the following:
All costume weapons must be inspected by security at the check-point on the library porch before entering the library.
All costume weapons must conform to state and federal laws regarding realistic weapons replicas (i.e. orange tips on realistic gun replicas)
Projectile weapons must be rendered inoperable.
After your costume weapon has been inspected, it will be tagged by security.
If you do not want to have your costume weapons inspected or tagged or are not willing to comply with these policies, please do not bring your costume weapons to The Burleson Arts & Manga Festival.
