Girls Inc. Program (Girls ages 5-18)

Wednesdays through May 16, 

4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Join us every Wednesday afternoon for a fun program geared specifically for girls! This semester's theme will be STEM.

This program is presented by Girls Inc. of Tarrant County.
No Registration is Required.


Kids Writing Club (Ages 8-12, Registration Required)

Tuesdays, April 3, 10 & 17, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Have you heard about Roald Dahl's Imaginormous Challenge?! It is a writing contest for children ages 5-12. We would love for some Burleson kids to enter the contest with their great story ideas! So in preparation for the contest, we will have three writing sessions to get the creativity flowing. 
Kids who attend are not required to enter the contest. If you choose to enter the contest, you must submit your story by May 1st to the Imaginormous Challenge website. For more information about the contest and the awesome prizes, check out the Imaginormous Challenge website.

Do you want to change the world with kindness?! Join our Kindness Club! We will work together on projects that share kindness with people in our community!

Logic Club for Homeschoolers (ages 5-17)

Friday, April 20, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Friday, May 18, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Homeschoolers (ages 5-17), join us for an afternoon of board games and fun! We will be playing board games that require us to use logic and strategy. We will provide some games, but you can bring your own games as well! Some game ideas are: Monopoly, Scrabble, chess, dominoes, Story Cubes, etc.

Registration is NOT required.


Prairielands Water Education Trailer!

Wednesday, April 25, 4 to 6 p.m.

Join us on the WET to learn about groundwater, aquifers, groundwater/surface water connectivity, the water cycle, stormwater runoff, pollution and how it can affect groundwater, and water conservation in the home.

The Prairielands Water Education Trailer or the “WET” is a 36-foot long, interactive classroom or museum on wheels containing five learning stations – a working aquifer model, a water well model, a water conservation station, video station, and a rainwater harvesting exhibit.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

​Friday, May 11, Drop off during library hours
Saturday, May 12, 11 to11:30 a.m. Pick up picnic storytime

The library is throwing a stuffed animal sleepover party! Kids can drop off their favorite stuffed animal at the library, where they will spend the night. Ms. Becky will supervise and photograph all the mischief the stuffed animals get up to. Then on Saturday, kids can pick up their stuffed animal and enjoy a fun picnic storytime in the garden with them. Make sure to drop off your stuffed animal between 10 a.m and 6 p.m. on May 11. The picnic storytime with the stuffed animals will be at 11 a.m. on May 12.
