Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP)

What is it? 


A database which assists first responders to know the special needs of an individual if they are called to respond to their home. This program also helps emergency management plan to assist them in the case of a disaster.

Who qualifies?


Any adult or child who lives within Burleson city limits and who may have an access or functional need that would require assistance before, during or after a personal emergency or local disaster.
Some examples include: 
  • those who have limited or no mobility,
  • require supplemental oxygen,
  • have a cognitive disorder and/or,
  • cannot care for themselves or have a family member that cannot care for themselves.
