BTX Cares - Small Business Assistance Grant

BTX CARESOverview

The City of Burleson recognizes the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has had on small businesses within the City. In an effort to help local businesses remain viable, the City has established the BTX Cares Grant Program. The program has been designed to provide funding for small businesses to cover economic damages suffered as a direct result of COVID-19.

Interested businesses should submit the application form and all required documentation below to request to be eligible. Businesses may be eligible to receive $2,000 by filling out the form and returning all required documentation to the office of Economic Development, Burleson City Hall, 141 W. Renfro Street between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Qualified businesses will be selected and funds allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so long as funds are available. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

The City received funds through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Aid, also known as the CARES Act. U.S. Treasury guidance provides that eligible expenditures may include expenditures related to the provision of grants to small businesses to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by required closures due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
