The building permits and inspection division’s mission is to facilitate the land development process by applying the highest standards of health, safety and construction industry practices. The division also provides professional and courteous customer service to new and existing developments in the city.
Mission StatementTo promote the general health, safety, welfare and overall quality of life for the citizens and visitors of the City of Burleson through timely, efficient and thorough building permitting and inspections. The department advises, guides and assists customers to achieve compliance with the Building, Zoning, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and Energy codes, local ordinances and state laws.

Adopted Building Code
City Council approved the adoption of the 2015 International Building Codes on March 4, 2019. The Building Permits and Inspections Department will begin enforcing the new codes on April 1, 2019.
