COVID-19 UPDATE: Case confirmation in Burleson

We would like to share the unfortunate news that we’ve received confirmation from Johnson County Public Health about a confirmed case of COVID-19 here in Burleson.

We know you probably have a lot of questions hearing that and we apologize in advance that because of privacy laws around personal medical information, we don’t have any answers right now to offer about who this individual is or how they may have contracted the virus.

We all knew today’s announcement was coming, particularly as cases were confirmed in so many of our neighboring communities, but it’s hard nonetheless to confirm that COVID-19 has officially reached us.

As we head into the weekend, let’s continue to heed the new regulations set for by Governor Abbott and work to control the spread of the coronavirus throughout our community.

Again, there is no reason to rush to the grocery store and hoard supplies. Please buy only what you need and think of your neighbors. Again, please practice the kindness we always have here in Burleson.

If you have questions specifically about the virus or area testing options, you can contact the Tarrant County Coronavirus Information Hotline at 817-248-6299 during normal business hours.
