  2. Trash Bash and Earth Day Celebration

    April 28, 2018, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Warren Park

    You can make a difference, and have a lot of fun doing it. Volunteers of all ages meet at Warren Park at 9 a.m. to get their trash bags and litter picker uppers. Then they head out to remove litter and debris from retail corridors, waterways, drainage channels, streets, parks, and other public areas. Youth participants are enthusiastically welcomed but must have adult supervision. Following the cleanup there will be pizza, a raffle, activities, booths, and more. You must call by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, to receive a cleanup location assignment. Come out, enjoy the camaraderie, and leave knowing you have made a difference!

  3. National Drug Take Back Initiative

    The Burleson Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The event will be hosted at the Burleson Police Department, 1161 S.W. Wilshire Blvd. Residents may drop off unused, expired or unwanted medications, in both pill and liquid form, for safe disposal. This includes over-the-counter as well as prescription drugs. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. If you can't make the event there is a drug drop box located in the lobby of the Police Administration building, 1161 SW Wilshire Blvd. The box is available to the public Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  4. Far Out Family Camp Out

    Bring your family and friends to this camp out and enjoy nature at its finest. Boy Scouts and Master Naturalist will guide participants on nature trails and other fun activities. A hot dog dinner with marshmallows for dessert will be served. Don’t forget to pack snacks, a tent, flashlight and bug spray. Please no open flamed lanterns, grills, or pets. All ages are welcome.
