Nefarious Deeds: The Soundtrack of Movie Villains
Wednesday, June 27, 6:30 p.m.
This presentation will investigate how Hollywood film studios use music as a tool to distinguish between various movie villain “types.” What kind of “bad guys/gals” are represented in Hollywood today, and what does the music tell us about these characters? What is the relationship between various levels of villainy and musical genres?
Presented by Gina Bombola, Ph.D, Lecturer in Musicology at Texas Christian University.
