    For the seventh year, North Texas shelters - including the Burleson Animal Shelter - along with NBC 5 and Telemundo 39, are planning a huge adoption event. This year’s nationwide Clear the Shelters will take place on Saturday, August 29, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.*, or earlier if all pets have been adopted before 5 p.m. The exciting event brings cities, counties and nonprofit organizations together to offer a unified campaign to find loving homes for shelter animals. The Burleson Animal Shelter is located at 775 S.E. John Jones Dr., Burleson, Texas 76028.

    Clear the Shelters is back and bigger than ever! NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with shelters across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive in August 2020 that helps find loving homes for animals in need. This year, Greater Good has joined the effort making it possible for shelters to collect donations throughout the entire month of August. Donate to the Burleson Animal Shelter today, https://bit.ly/3gkgcrT. You can find your new furry family member at the shelter on August 29 starting at 10 a.m., and pay no adoption fee. The event will last until 5 p.m., or before if all animals have been adopted. The Burleson Animal Shelter will be limiting the number of persons in the shelter at one time. A staff member will be outside taking names and phone numbers from the parking lot and customers will remain in their vehicle until it is their turn to enter (limit 2 family members).
