What You Need to Know

  • The program is available to children from three to 10-years-old. 
  • Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served. 
  • Each student will be taught basic swim lessons and drowning prevention techniques with a certified swim instructor.
  • Participants must be able to attend all four of the sessions. Multiple time choices to pick from during registration.
  • Parents or guardians must attend community risk reduction classes taught by the Burleson Fire Department while their children are at drowning prevention classes. Adults will be taught hands-only CPR, Stop the Bleed training and more.
  • All sessions are held at Burleson Recreation Center, 550 NW Summercrest Blvd.


Option 1
Day: Saturdays
Dates: April 16, April 23, April 30 & May 7
Time options: 9 - 9:45 a.m., 9:45 - 10:30 a.m., 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. or 11:15 a.m. - noon

Dates: June 13-16, June 20-23, June 27-30, July 11-14, July 18-21 or July 25-28
