Russell Farm Art Center

The Russell Farm Art Center is a local attraction that offers the public a glimpse into the past as well as contemporary art work. Russell Farm is a unique and historic facility that features several buildings dating back to the earliest days of what would become the Burleson community.

Farm History and Tours

The Russell-Boren house was built in 1877 and was the home of the Russell family for 135 years. The farm was donated to the City of Burleson in October 2011 by the Boren family for historical, art and agricultural/natural uses. The property was renamed Russell Farm when the farm was donated. The 30-acre property is located at 405 West County Road 714.

Guided tours of Russell Farm are available on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Docents will tell stories of the families who lived here and demonstrate how the house grew from the original 3-room home to the much larger home it is today.

Community Events

The Russell Farm historical site also hosts a variety of community events each year, such as an Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas at the Farm. The facilities are also available to be rented for special occasions. Visit the city's Upcoming Events page to see events happening in the near future.
