All applicants are required to successfully complete each phase of the selection process. The entire process takes approximately two months. Each candidate will be advised of their status and application test dates as they move through the various steps. The selection flow chart utilized by our agency is listed below on the right.
High school diploma or GED
Non-Certified Public Safety Recruit: At least 30 hours of college from an accredited college or university
Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certified: At least 30 hours of college from an accredited college or university, or 2 years of full-time paid police experience in Texas.
