Holidays

Each eligible employee is paid for 10 holidays per year. Some part-time may be eligible based on length of service. Seasonal positions do not receive holiday benefits.

Wellness Day

Full-time employees that meet wellness program criteria receive a wellness day off with pay.

Personal Day

Full-time employees will receive 1 Personal Day off per calendar year.

Catastrophic Leave

All eligible employees may donate accrued vacation and/or sick time hours from their unused balance to the Catastrophic Leave Pool, which helps their co-workers in need of additional sick time off. All employees who donate are also eligible to use the Pool.

Vacation

Full-time employees are eligible to earn vacation leave beginning on the start date and may be used once completing 6 months of service. Employees are eligible to be paid out their earned, unused vacation leave upon exit after 1 year of service up to the cap.

Non-Fire Shift Employees – 2080 Annual Schedule

(equivalent 8 hr shift/40 hr work week/80 hour period):

Fire Shift Employees – 2912 Annual Schedule

(16 and 8 Shift {or 24 Hour Shift/48 Hour Tour}):

Sick

Full-time employees are eligible to earn sick leave beginning on the start date and may be used once completing 2 months of service. Sick accrual is unlimited, but can only be used for qualifying events. Employees are eligible to be paid out their earned, unused sick leave upon exit after 5 years of service up to the cap.
