The Law Enforcement Explorer Program offers educational and hands-on training for young adults, emphasizing the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. This program provides career exploration opportunities, leadership development, and avenues for community service. Its primary goals are to guide young adults toward potential careers in law enforcement, foster leadership skills, and inspire them to become responsible and engaged members of their communities and the nation. Explorers must be between the ages of 14 and 21, inclusive of their 14th birthday and up to, but not including, their 21st birthday, and must have completed the eighth grade.
Requirements
- Participants must maintain a minimum grade of "C" (or 70%) in all enrolled classes.
- Participants must not be under the supervision of any criminal court, including probation, parole, or other legal restrictions.
- Participants must demonstrate a genuine desire and the capability to pursue a career in civil, military, or public service.
