Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
The CERT Program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergencies in their community during times of disaster. Participants receive training in the following areas:
The Burleson Fire Marshal’s office will be hosting CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training in the Fall of 2022. All classes, with the exception of the final class, will be held at Burleson Fire Station #16, 250 E Hidden Creek Parkway.
Students will learn how to manage utilities and put out small fires; open airways, control bleeding, and treat for shock; provide basic medical aid; search for and rescue victims safely; organize as a
You do not have to join the team to go through training. Classes are open to citizens of Burleson, or employees of a Burleson business, who are at least 18 years old. After class completion, those who choose to join the CERT Group will need to complete the volunteer process.
Classes start September 1 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. every Thursday (5 classes) plus the final class on October 1 (Saturday morning). Class is limited to 30 participants. Sign up today!
