CERT Training
The Burleson Fire Department will be hosting CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training August 2023. All classes will be held at Burleson Fire Station #16, 250 E Hidden Creek Parkway.
Students will learn how to manage utilities and put out small fires; open airways, control bleeding, and treat for shock; provide basic medical aid; search for and rescue victims safely; organize as a team; and collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts.
You do not have to join the team to go through training. Classes are open to citizens of Burleson, or employees of a Burleson business, who are at least 18 years old. After class completion, those who choose to join the CERT Group will need to complete the volunteer process.
