Public Works crews have applied brine to major routes, including primary thoroughfares and key collector streets throughout the city. An additional 31 loads of material have been delivered and are staged for use. As temperatures drop and road conditions begin to freeze, crews will transition to sanding and salt applications as needed. Residential streets will not be treated.

Public Safety operations are also increasing readiness. Additional public safety communicators will be staffing 911 call centers to manage increased call volume. The Fire Department will upstaff a brush truck to ensure crews are available to access difficult areas and provide additional emergency response if conditions require.
