The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) just awarded $75,000 to the Burleson Public Library under its new Regional ILS Cooperative Grant program. The library has joined with Benbrook, Forest Hill, Haltom City, Keller, Richland Hills and Watauga to form MetroShare Libraries, a new north Texas library consortium. MetroShare libraries will accept one another’s library cards and share physical materials via a courier service. Additionally, MetroShare launched a new online catalog that provides a more user-friendly experience and an improved integration of digital titles.
The Regional ILS Cooperative Grant supports the establishment and enhancement of cooperative services among libraries. This project is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (TSLAC Grant #LSG-22002). * (2021)
