Effective May 27, 2024, Burleson Fire/EMS is pleased to announce that Jeremiah Lozier will assume a pivotal role as the department's new assistant chief. He will report directly to the fire chief and play a crucial part in the department's operations.
In this capacity, Chief Lozier will oversee training, fleet management, facilities, personnel processing, compliance, and various other administrative duties as the fire department continues to redefine its roles within the administration.
Chief Lozier began his career in public service in 1996 when he became a volunteer firefighter. After graduating from the North Central Texas Council of Governments Police Academy, he worked as a police officer and sheriff's deputy until November 1999, when he began his career with the Burleson Fire Department. Throughout his career with the Burleson Fire Department, he has worked in operations, progressing from firefighter to lieutenant, captain, battalion chief, and now assistant chief.
