Planning & Zoning
COVID-19 Status Update
To protect everyone’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our Planning Division in-person services are suspended.
As City staff is adjusting to the changing conditions and regulations, we offer the following information and are committed to the City of Burleson. We will continue to conduct business with our residents and businesses via phone and by e-mail.
Development Services resubmittals can be dropped off in the assigned drop-off station at City Hall, but our preference is for you to email your resubmittals to your Case Manager. Please ensure that all materials provided have contact information included so that staff can confirm receipt. Staff business cards will be available, if you need to contact staff via email. Please call (817) 426-9611 if you have any questions.
We intend to continue to accept submittals in accordance with our normal schedule, but this is subject to change. Again, the preference will be for emailed submissions and an email address and submittal information will be provided closer to then next submittal date, April 6. We will likely postpone charging of application fees until normal operations resume.
We are doing our best to continue to provide services to the public and our development community. We appreciate your patience during this unpredictable time.
The mission of Planning and Zoning is to establish conceptually viable planning principles and policies to help guide and manage development patterns in the City. This division supports the City Manager’s Office, City Council, and other City boards and commissions on matters affecting planning, growth and development in the City. The division also coordinates planning and development-related matters with landowners, developers, and other City departments and agencies.
