Employment Guidelines

Before applying for a position with the City of Burleson, please review these guidelines:

The City accepts online applications only for posted, open positions.

If you require a reasonable accommodation to apply or during any part of the interview and hiring process, please contact Human Resources to discuss those needs further.

The online application is a two-part process:

  1. Quick Application – Share with us your interest and qualifications! A resume is not required, but we encourage you to upload a resume if you have one. The resume will pre-populate portions of the quick online application.
  2. Full Application - If you are selected to move forward in the process, you will receive an “invitation” to complete our full, online application.

Most positions are open until filled. This means the hiring manager can choose to stop the collection of applications at the point they are ready to begin the interview process. If no candidates are selected, the position may be posted again.

The City of Burleson will contact the applicants selected for pre-placement testing and/or personal interview by text, email, or phone.

If you wish to be considered for future positions, you must submit a new application online for each position.

The City of Burleson is an equal opportunity employer. The city does not discriminate in employment practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (includes gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy), age, the existence of a physical or mental disability, military service status or any other state or federally protected right. The equal opportunity policy of the city applies to all areas of employment, including, but not limited to recruitment, hiring, job assignments, pay, training, promotions, privileges, and conditions of employment.
