Curbside Recycling

Pick-Up Schedule

The City of Burleson contracts with Waste Connections (formerly Progressive Waste Solutions) for curbside recycling. Recycling is collected once per week. All items must be placed in the city approved cart and placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on your recycling day. One cart is provided for each residence.

Green bins and blue bags for recycling will no longer be collected as part of the recycling program.  All recyclables need to be loose and inside the 65-gallon cart provided.

New Recycling Carts

New recycling carts will be delivered to Burleson homes and businesses December 3 through December 20, 2019. Starting January 6, 2020, automated collection of recycling carts will begin. City of Burleson residents will receive one FREE 65-gallon recycling cart and will no longer be able to use the smaller bins. New recycling trucks feature an automated lifting mechanism that requires three (3) feet of clearance on all sides.

Waste Connections will observe the following holidays:
  • New Years Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

If any of these holidays fall on a weekend, there will be no interruption of service. Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day will be regular collection days. If City offices are closed for the holiday, please contact Waste Connections at 817-222-2221.

Boxes need to be broken down and placed into the recycling cart for collection or stacked with the regular trash. If you have moving boxes, you can place the broken-down boxes into other boxes for easier handling, but please remove all packing materials and place in trash bags or in the recycle bin, depending on the type of material.
