Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events

Household hazardous waste collection events are typically held twice a year in Burleson, once in the fall and once in the spring. The events are held at the service center 725 SE John Jones Dr, Burleson, Tx, 76028, and are only available to residents who live within Burleson city limits (proof of residency including a City water or solid waste bill is required.)

The City will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding event June 5th, 2021, at the City’s Service Center, 725 SE John Jones Dr. The event will be from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and is only available to residents who live inside the Burleson city limits (proof of residency including a City water or solid waste bill is required).

Household hazardous waste items are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and capacity may be reached for certain wastes before the event ends. All electronics and appliances will be taken for free. TVs will be accepted at this event. There is no fee for paper shredding, but the volume is limited to three boxes per vehicle.

In order to avoid the lines and possibly being turned away once capacity is reached, residents may use the Fort Worth ECC for paint and other chemical drop off.
