The City will host a Recycling event Saturday, November 5th, at the City’s Service Center, 725 SE John Jones Dr.. Residents may bring tires (limit four, passenger tires only), electronics, clothing for donation to Harvest House, and paper for shredding (limit three boxes per household) to this free event. The event will be from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and is only available to residents who live inside the Burleson city limits (proof of residency including a City water or solid waste bill is required).
This is NOT a Household Hazardous Waste event. The next HHW event is scheduled for the spring of 2023. Residents wishing to dispose of paint or other chemicals may use the Forth Worth Environmental Collection Center for drop off. See below for more information about the ECC.
Acceptable items for the Recycling Event: • Paper for shredding (limited of three boxes per household) • Electronics • Non-damaged lead acid batteries (such as car and lawn equipment batteries) • Appliances (no appliances containing Freon/refrigerant) • Tires (limit four per vehicle) • Tube TV's
Non-acceptable Items: • Chemicals including, but not limited to, paint, pesticides, and automotive fluids. • Small batteries • Fireworks

Environmental Collection Center
Residents who do not want to wait until the next HHW collection event in Burleson, can take their household hazardous waste to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC). The ECC is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth. For directions, call 817-392-EASY (3279). There is no fee for dropping off your household hazardous waste, however, residents must take a City of Burleson water or solid waste bill as proof of residency.
