The Burleson Police Department holds two drug take-back events annually. Anyone may drop off unused, expired or unwanted medications, in both pill and liquid form, for safe disposal at these events. As part of the Burleson Police Department's commitment to providing a safe community, a drug drop box is available in the lobby of the police department, 1161 SW Wilshire Blvd. The Elk Drive entrance is now closed for the Police Headquarters Expansion Project. Visitors may enter from SW Wilshire Boulevard or Miles Avenue. This box is available to the public Monday through Sunday, 24 hours a day, to deposit unneeded prescription and over-the-counter medications.
