Winter Weather Update #5 Feb. 2 at 4:45 p.m.
Trash and Recycling
Friday trash routes are expected to run as scheduled. No recycling will be collected this week. As a reminder, trash routes will be slow on Friday and may run behind, please leave your trash out, and it will be collected (collections will continue through Saturday, Feb. 4, if needed). Bulk trash collection this week will be picked up, but it is not guaranteed to be collected by noon on Friday. Please leave your bulk collection at the curb and it will be collected. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this winter weather event.
City Facilities
All city facilities will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3.
Roads
Roads are getting better, please still exercise caution when traveling. We will drop into freezing temperatures tonight so some portions of the roads may refreeze. Public Works crews are still out sanding/salting streets throughout the community.
Power Outages
There is a concern about the accumulation of ice on powerlines and trees that may cause power outages. Emergency Management is monitoring this situation in our community.
If your power goes out, contact your electric provider
Frozen Pipes/Flooding Issues
If you have an issue at your home or business with flooding or busted pipes and need to contact the city to turn off your water, don't hesitate to contact the city's non-emergency number, 817-426-9903.
