Burleson Fire and EMS cordially invite you to join us for a special "push-in" ceremony, celebrating the arrival of our new ladder fire truck and ambulance. This event will take place on Wednesday, November 1st, starting at 1:30 p.m., at Fire Station 16, conveniently located at 250 E. Hidden Creek Parkway in Burleson.

After the ceremony, we invite you to stay and enjoy some refreshments and capture memorable moments with our new apparatuses.

Truck 16, our 2023 Pierce Ascendant, boasts a remarkable 107-foot vertical reach, with a capacity of 480 gallons of water and 20 gallons of foam. Equipped with a 1500-gallon per minute pump and the innovative feature of all-wheel steering, it can expertly navigate even the tightest spaces.

Medic 16, a 2023 Ford F450 Demers Ambulance, is one of four new ambulances launched on October 1st, marking our city's transition to in-house service.

The "push-in" ceremony is a cherished fire service tradition with roots dating back to the 1800s. In those days, fire apparatuses couldn't easily be backed into the station with horses alone. Thus, after a call, firefighters would disconnect the equipment from the horses and collectively push the fire apparatus back into the bays. Today, we carry on this time-honored tradition by inviting you to witness the ceremonial push of our new fire truck into the bay.
