[ARCHIVED] City hosts Ribbon Cutting for City Hall Annex

City Hall Annex ribbon cutting

On Friday, February 16, the City of Burleson hosted a ribbon cutting for the new City Hall Annex, located at 135 W Ellison St., Suite 109. The annex is now home to various municipal services, including utility customer service, BTX 311, permitting and inspections, development services, economic development, and the engineering division.

City Hall Annex is part of the Ellison Street Project, approved by Burleson City Council in 2020 as a public-private partnership with the developer, BTX Old Town. "Almost 30 years ago a group of stakeholders, citizens, city staff and city council cast a vision for the revitalization of Old Town Burleson with the vision of bringing new businesses, walkability and a sense of place to the heart of our community with the Old Town Plan," stated Alex Philips, Economic Development Director. "I would say that this project fits incredibly well into that vision and will be a fixture of the Old Town that our past leaders, partners, city staff and councils will be extremely proud of for generations to come."

The annex is located just across Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza from Burleson City Hall, 141 W Renfro St, and will maintain hours identical to city hall's, welcoming visitors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
