Many city of Burleson facilities will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day.
Trash & Recycling
Regular trash and curbside recycling collections will not be affected by the holidays, as collections do not occur on Wednesdays. Ensure trash is set out by 7 a.m. on your scheduled day. Due to increased holiday volume, collections may be delayed but will be completed, even if it’s the following day.
How do I dispose of my real Christmas tree?
After removing all ornaments, lights, and garlands, you can place your live Christmas tree at the curb on your second collection day of the week (e.g., Thursday for a Monday/Thursday route) or during your bulk/brush week.
Trees placed on the second collection day will be sent to the landfill, while those set out during bulk/brush week will be picked up with brush and recycled.
