Trash and curbside recycling will not be affected by the holiday and will run as scheduled. Please make sure trash and recycling are at the curb by 6 a.m. to ensure collection.
Many city facilities will be closed Friday, July 4. Exceptions include the BRiCk, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and both the indoor and outdoor pools, open from 1 to 5 p.m. The splash pad, which is free, will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with sensory-friendly hours from 8 to 10 a.m. for individuals with sensory sensitivities.
Hidden Creek Golf Course will be open for regular play from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (last tee time at 2 p.m.). Public safety personnel will be working on July 4 to keep everyone safe, and the parks and recreation staff will be hosting Red, White, and BTX, the city’s 4th of July event at Chisenhall Fields, starting at 5 p.m.
As a reminder, all non-professional fireworks are illegal in Burleson city limits, this includes sparkers and other ground-based fireworks.
