[ARCHIVED] Jan. 25 Evening Update: Non-essential facility closures, warming shelters and more

City Facility Closures | Monday, Jan. 25

City facilities, including the Library, Senior Activity Center, BRiCk, Municipal Court, Hidden Creek Golf Course Pro Shop and Restaurant and City Hall, will be closed to the public on Monday, Jan. 26.

Essential services will continue operating to ensure uninterrupted service. These include Fire/EMS, Police, Public Safety Dispatch, Public Works, Water and Streets, BTX 311, Utility Customer Service, Communications, Information Technology, Human Resources, Development Services and several other departments. Many services will be provided remotely, and residents are encouraged to email staff or complete online forms and submittals as needed.

Trash and Recycling
Collection is canceled for Monday, Jan. 26.

Immediate Sheltering Needs
If you or someone you know in the Burleson community needs immediate shelter assistance, including overnight, please contact non-emergency dispatch at 817-426-9903. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 911.

Warming Station Update
The BRiCk will close as a warming shelter at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25. 

The city of Burleson continues to monitor weather conditions and utility impacts as the extreme cold impacts our area. At this time, the city is not aware of any power outages within Burleson.

Public Safety Communications will continue monitoring regional outage maps overnight, and city leadership will conduct additional checks into the early morning hours.

The city will continue to monitor conditions closely and open warming station as needed.
