City Marshal

The City Marshal’s Office is a law enforcement agency that performs the law enforcement duties of the Municipal Court. To that end, the City Marshal’s Office arrests defendants with warrants, transports prisoners being held on Municipal Court warrants, and serves summons, subpoenas, and other legal papers issued by the Municipal Court. The City Marshal’s Office also provides security for the Municipal Court. The marshals are specially trained in court security techniques to maintain order and ensure the safety of the judge, prosecutor, and all courtroom participants. In addition to the above, the City Marshal’s Office works in concert with other city departments, governmental agencies, and the public to help ensure that the City of Burleson is a safe and secure community.
