Appointed to City Council in May 2024

Councilmember Boedeker is currently a member of the following City Council Committees:

• Economic Development Corporation Type A
• Tax Increment Finance Reinvestment Zone #2
• Community Service Committee
• Community & Intergovernmental Relations Committee
• Infrastructure & Development Committee

Prior to being elected to City Council, Alexa served on the Community Services Corporation (Type B) Board and Capital Improvements Program Advisory Committee for the city.

Personal Life

Calling Burleson, TX home since 2000, Alexa Boedeker has touched people’s lives all over the Metroplex.  Including, raising her two children here.  Her many long-standing relationships have developed from her experiences as a public educator, local boutique owner and, since 2017, a Texas Realtor®.  

Alexa grew up in Mesquite, TX, graduating from North Mesquite High School in 1996. She would then pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M Commerce, graduating class of 2000.  Before graduating, she met her Johnson County Boy, that she has been married to since 2000, bringing her home to Burleson, TX!

Alexa has watched this small town grow to where it is today, while serving on several committees and boards, participating in many events, and encouraging the powers that be to make it all happen!
