The Operations Bureau includes Patrol, Traffic, SRT, SWAT and several ancillary units. It is primarily made up of uniformed personnel, with 55 authorized positions. The bureau serves approximately 53,500 residents across approximately 28 square miles of suburban and rural Burleson.
The primary responsibility of the Operations Bureau is responding to calls for service. Additional services include vacation and business checks, directive patrols, warrant service, traffic enforcement and routine crash investigations. The bureau operates 24/7 to ensure accurate, timely service for the residents of Burleson.
