Retaining Walls
General Information
A permit is required for the installation or repair of a retaining wall that is 48" or more in height, measured from the bottom of the footing to the top of the wall at it's highest point, or is supporting permanent construction.

Submittal Requirements
All components listed above must be submitted with the Building Permit Application. Application packages must be completed and submitted to the Building Permits and Inspections department at 141 W Renfro Street, Burleson, TX 76028.
Inspections
A footing inspection and a final inspection will be required for permitted retaining walls, upon completion of work. A letter of compliance from the design engineer shall be provided for the construction of the wall itself prior to final inspection.
The inspection request line number is 817-426-9636. This is an automated line that is available 24 hours a day. Our office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Any inspection called in before 8 p.m. will be made the following business day.
