Electronics

  • Burleson's biannual Hazardous Household Waste Collection event. Find out when the next event is

  • Goodwill Thrift Store, 1725 SW Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, will accept all electronics except for televisions and CRT monitors.
  • Best Buy is another good resource for electronics recycling, a recycling fee for TVs and computers may be charged. 

Old Computers

  • Goodwill and Staples stores will accept most old computers.

TV's

  • Goodwill Outlet, 4005 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, accepts all TV types.

Batteries

  • Rechargeable and disposable batteries are accepted at Burleson's biannual Hazardous Household Waste Collection event. For dates and times
  • Environmental Collection Center 6400 Bridge St, Fort Worth, TX 76112, proof of Burleson Solid Waste bill is required.
  • Many national retailers accept rechargeable batteries for recycling, including Batteries Plus Bulbs, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's Staples, Target and Verizon Wireless. 

Brush, Leaves and Lawn Clippings

  • Tree limbs and brush that do not exceed six feet in length can be collected curbside on a monthly basis, according to the resident's zone. Find out what zone you are in and when your brush and yard waste collection is. Approved paper yard waste bags are required, contact the Public Works Department for additional details. 
  • Residents can also drop off brush, tree limbs and yard waste or pick up free mulch at the Recycle and Compost Center, 610 Memorial Plaza. Hours are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Residents will be requested to show a current water bill reflecting solid waste service charges from the City of Burleson.

Paper, Aluminum, Tin and Glass

  • Weekly curbside recycling. Find out when your recycling day is

Tires

  • Four tires per household are accepted at Burleson's biannual Hazardous Household Waste Collection event. For dates and times
  • The Cleburne Transfer Station, 2625 Pipeline Rd, Cleburne, TX 76033 accepts tires for the following fees: Passenger tire, $3 each; Semi-truck tire, $15 each; and Tractor tire, $40 each. 

Scrap Metal

  • Recycle scrap metal by contacting local scrap dealers. Run a search for “Recycling Centers” or “Scrap Metals.”
